LIFE-CHANGING WORK. PHYSIOTHERAPY

If you are looking for a role where your clinical skills genuinely change lives, Arnhem Health offers something increasingly rare: the opportunity to deliver meaningful healthcare while living and working in one of Australia’s most culturally significant and breathtaking regions.

Here, your work is not about helping people fit into a healthcare system. It is about helping healthcare reach people where they belong.

You will join a multidisciplinary allied health team working across Nhulunbuy and East Arnhem Land. Depending on the role, your week may include clinic-based care, schools, community settings, telehealth, aged care and outreach to remote communities. You will build long-term therapeutic relationships, work with autonomy and support, and develop capabilities that are difficult to replicate in metropolitan practice.

We are looking for clinicians who are curious, respectful, adaptable and committed to high-quality care. You do not need to arrive knowing everything about remote practice. Our structured 100-Day Onboarding Program is designed to help you progressively build confidence in our systems, communities, service pathways and way of working.

The Role

As a Senior Physiotherapist , you will provide high-quality physiotherapy services across clinic, community and remote settings while working as part of Arnhem Health’s multidisciplinary allied health team.

The role combines autonomous clinical practice with opportunities to contribute to the ongoing development, collaboration and quality of Physiotherapy and Pilates services.

Pilates experience is preferred , with opportunities to facilitate individual and group Pilates programs alongside your broader physiotherapy caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments with a focus on understanding the cultural, physical and individual needs of clients, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and communities.

- Develop and maintain accurate clinical records, including treatment plans and progress notes.

- Provide physiotherapy services, including appropriate exercises and therapeutic activities, to promote health, mobility, function and independence.

- Utilise appropriate therapeutic techniques to support clients in improving, maintaining or recovering their functional abilities.

- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and other healthcare professionals within our multidisciplinary team.

- Contribute to the ongoing development and quality improvement of Physiotherapy and Pilates services.

- Review client progress and adapt therapy plans as required, including participation in relevant case conferences and meetings.

- Deliver culturally respectful physiotherapy services to clients across Nhulunbuy and remote East Arnhem Land communities.

- Facilitate safe, engaging and culturally respectful individual and group Pilates classes tailored to participants’ needs, monitoring progress and adapting programs to promote strength, mobility, confidence and overall wellbeing.

Preferred Start Date: 5 October 2026

Base Salary + Superannuation (Full-time, HP Level 2.1 - 2.4):

$110,335.10 - $121,633.08 base rate + superannuation

Plus:

- $5,000 sign-on bonus

- Up to $10,000 relocation assistance (via NTPHN)
