The Role
One casual position available
We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Pilates/Yoga Instructor to deliver engaging and rewarding sessions to the MLC student population.
The role will be responsible for:
- Creating and delivering a 60-minute mat Pilates/Yoga workout for the MLC student population
- Working collaboratively with the Head of Athletic Development to provide a fun, challenging and rewarding program
- Ensuring programs and opportunities are enjoyable, progressive and accessible to students
- Developing flexible and individualised health and fitness programs, particularly for students with physical limitations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Design and deliver a Pilates/Yoga program to the general MLC student population in consultation with the Head of Athletic Development, incorporating standardised warm-up and cool-down protocols
- Develop, manage and monitor core physical development and fundamental movement pathways for MLC students
- Assist with the design, planning and implementation of a testing and reporting framework for athletic development
- Work with external medical providers to ensure injury rehabilitation pathways are developed and followed
- Develop flexible and individualised health and fitness programs, particularly for students with physical limitations.

About You
Essential Criteria
- Entry Level "Matwork" Certificate
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective planning and organisational skills
- Proven competence with the use of technology
- Acts professionally and maintains appropriate confidentiality
- Appropriate qualification and demonstrated expertise in relevant subject areas
- Right to work in Australia
- Adherence to all College policies and demonstration of behaviours in accordance with the Child Safe Standards
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- An understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards
- A relevant qualification that matches your career goals
Desirable Criteria
- Certificate IV in Pilates Matwork and Reformer (10721NAT)
- Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (10838NAT)
